About Restaurant Week

The first Carroll County Restaurant Week took place the week of August 21-28, 2011, featuring special fixed price menus at local restaurants. Feedback from Restaurant owners and customers in 2011 and 2012 has indicated that it was a great success.

History

At the suggestion of local restaurant owners Dante Liberatore (LIBERATORE'S Eldersburg) and Ken Lurie (Bud’s at Silver Run) the first Carroll County Restaurant Week got underway in 2011. The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and the Carroll County Department of Economic Development/Tourism Office partnered to promote one week of delicious and affordable dining throughout Carroll County. Local marketing and communications company bytes & words donated a website, hosting and social marketing services for the summer-long promotion. This same team is bringing the event to Carroll County for 2013.

For Restaurant Owners

Restaurant Week is a great way to stretch your marketing dollars by reaching first-time customers and returning customers looking for an incentive to dine out. Restaurants receive exposure through print, web, email, and social media marketing promotions, including link backs from Carroll County websites and the official Restaurant Week website plus exposure and access to the official Facebook page for Restaurant Week. Both the website and Facebook page drive traffic to restaurants' websites throughout the year. Press coverage is provided locally by the Carroll County Times and Carroll Magazine, with regional coverage often picked up by the Baltimore Sun and Patch.com reviews.
